Welcome to the Maples Home for Seniors, a 43-bed long term care home for seniors located in the small, friendly village of Tavistock.

Our goal is to provide quality care and service, but most of all we want our residents to be happy. We strive for a home-like atmosphere and our trained professional staff members ensure every resident is cared for with dignity and respect so they feel like an important part of a family.

Our Medical Advisor, Dr. Cowing, visits on a weekly basis. The Tavistock Family Health Network is on call 24 hours day if medical attention is required after hours. All blood work ordered by physicians is done weekly by “Life Labs” right in the Home.

Our Home has 24-hour registered staff coverage and all medications are administered by our registered nurses. Foot care is provided by VON at a charge of $26 per visit. We have a physiotherapist on-site twice weekly and PT Health provides physiotherapy weekdays..  Exercises are carried out by our Restorative Care Team 7 days a week.

A full range of stimulating, enjoyable activities are offered on a daily basis. We have spiritual church services every Sunday afternoon with all denominations participating (provided by the Tavistock Ministerium).

Our kitchen staff prepares our delicious meals on site in our kitchen located just off the dining room. We use only fresh quality ingredients and all diets are under supervision of our Corporate Registered Dietition and Food and Nutrition Manager. Specialty diets (such as diabetic, pureed, etc.) are accommodated as ordered by a physician.
