Nestled into the eastern regions of the Kawartha Lakes Tourist area is the historic mining village of Marmora, Ontario. Within walking distance of the quaint downtown shops and the beautiful Crowe River is Caressant Care Marmora Nursing Home, an 84 bed Accredited Long Term Care Home.

Caressant Care Marmora is a single storey building with 31 resident rooms, offering private, semi-private and ward accommodations. Married couples wishing to share a room are welcomed. The Home is proud to work with community partners to provide a wide range of activities for those who live within our walls. Music in the Park and the weekly cruise nights are favourite summertime activities. Weekly ecumenical church services are held in the Home representing all faith communities in Marmora. Church groups provide monthly birthday parties and in house activities are provided daily by trained Activity Professionals. Our well established perennial gardens offer paved walking paths, shaded areas and a meeting place for weekly BBQ’s from late May to September.

The Home provides 24 hour care by Registered Nurses, RPN’s, PSW’s. Our Medical Director visits several times weekly and provides daily telephone support. Onsite physiotherapy and rehab services are offered by a Registered Physiotherapist, physio assistant and trained Restorative Care staff.
Supervised by a Registered Dietitian and the Food & Nutrition Manager, the dietary department excels in the preparation of three delicious meals and snacks per day. Special diets are available for those who require such attention to their dietary needs.

Located just one block south of Highway 7 visitors are welcome at any time to drop in for a tour and to meet with dedicated staff and managers who make Caressant Care Marmora the “Home of Choice” in the Central Hastings area.
