We have so many remarkable people in the Caressant Care family from residents, staff, volunteers and family members.

Meet Barb Barlen a resident at Cambridge Country Manor.

Barb has been a resident for the past 11 years when she moved into the nursing home with her husband, who has since passed away. Since that time, Barb has become a very active member of the Cambridge Country Manor community.

"I love people and working with them, especially helping out with activities in the home," she says.

She also loves animals and is reading a book about dogs and fondly remembers volunteering years ago on a horse farm. She gets excited when Little Ray's Reptile Zoo visits the home every other month and has the opportunity to visit exotic animals like a little possum marsupial called a Sugar Glider.

But it is crafting that Barb really excels. She loves clipping recipes from magazines to make into a cook book that she gives to staff and fellow residents to enjoy. And the walls around the home are often decorated with Barb's handiwork.
