Woodstock, ON - Caressant Care Nursing and Retirement Homes LTD. applauds the work of the Long Term Care Homes Public Inquiry, led by The Honourable Justice Eileen Gillese, who today released their final report to the public.

"We appreciate the hard work and dedication of Justice Eileen Gillese and her team and thank them for providing thoughtful, practical recommendations that can improve the long term care system and enhance the safety, security, and quality of life for residents," says Jim Lavelle, President and Owner. "We also look forward to working with our stakeholders, health care partners, and Government to address the recommendations outlined in the report so that we can, as a system, restore public confidence in long term care."

Caressant Care will carefully review these recommendations and may provide further comments as appropriate. However, due to the sensitivity of this issue and, out of respect for the families, residents and staff who have been deeply impacted by this tragedy, we ask for privacy. Our thoughts remain with the families of the victims.
