Dear Family: One of the most difficult things we must do in life is to decide when a loved one requires more care than the family can provide. A nursing home or retirement home can provide that care. The question then becomes, “What is the right home?” When I had to make that decision, I looked for a home that would care for and treat my family member with dignity, and respect their right to privacy. I looked for a home where the people genuinely cared even when my family and I were not present. What we wanted was a home that went beyond delivering just what the regulations stated, a home where the residents were happy, involved, and enjoying themselves to their fullest. Finally, we looked for a place close by. While we were sharing our family member with a new family, we wanted to visit as often as we could to show that we cared, that we hadn’t forgotten. Welcome to Caressant Care, where you’ll find family values at work caring for your loved ones. Sincerely, James Lavelle
