If you're looking for a quiet country atmosphere, Caressant Care Arthur is nestled into the countryside of rural Ontario , in the small village of Arthur. We are located 1.25 hours west of Toronto , 40 min. north of Guelph and 1 hr south of Owen Sound at the junction of Highways 6 and 9. Spend some time wandering down the quaint Main Streets of Arthur which offers Sussmans for the shopper and lovely walking trails for those who enjoy nature and the outdoors.

This picturesque town boasts a close knit community , many of whom are actively involved in our Home through volunteering. Our property boasts areas for walking freely , or an enclosed garden with shade areas and flowers for relaxing and feeling confident that your loved ones who wander will also be safe.

Caressant Care Arthur is a single story Home with 80 licensed Nursing Home beds including ward , semi-private and private accommodation. Our adjoining Retirement Home has 41 beds offering semi-private , private and deluxe private accommodation.

The bright , open Nursing Home offers key code entry for safety. The library lounge and the fireside lounge are a bee hive of activity. Families are always welcome to attend any of our programs from musical entertainment , strawberry social or family picnic to enjoying a movie and popcorn or a Tim Hortons Coffee. Children and pets are also regular visitors to our facility through our Adopt-A Grand program and visiting pets. Interdenominational services are offered on a weekly basis and pastoral care is available at residents request.

The adjoining Retirement Home offers a bright dining area with walk out patio surrounded by trees for a quiet visit, or a lounge with a fireplace for watching movies , playing cards , crokinole or an array of activities organized by the activation dept.

The facility is always busy with Residents Council choosing new causes for fundraising , organizing bake sales and our annual auction in order to give back to the community.
